FORUM SYD

Close to 200 Swedish organisations working to provide development assistance, information and to form public opinion on global issues have gathered under Forum Syd’s umbrella. Collectively, their work is known as development cooperation. Members range from big popular movements with annual budgets measured in hundred of millions of Swedisk Kronor per year, to small local associations supported by the voluntary work of just a few dedicated individuals. Forum Syd is funding focus on the Tonle Sap program.

During her lifetime, Margaret A. Cargill provided Trustees with guidance to help them identify grantees that reflect her values and hopes for the Foundation. Within the Foundation’s interest areas, Margaret asked Trustees to support programs that address unmet needs; that give individuals and communities the tools to become self-sufficient; that will be sustainable after our support ends; and that build on and strengthen strong relationships within communities. She specifically favored on-the-ground programs rather than policy initiatives or endowments.

The McKNIGHT FOUNDATION

The McKnight Foundation, a Minnesota-based family foundation, seeks to improve the quality of life for present and future generations. Through grantmaking; coalition-building, and encouragement of strategic policy reform, we use our resources to attend, unite, and empower those we serve. The McKnight Foundation is funding focus on the Tonle Sap program.

Global Nature Fund is a non-profit, private, independent international foundation for the protection of environment and nature, registered according to § 80 BGB by the Senate Administration for Justice, Berlin.

The headquarters are located in Radolfzell at Lake Constance, Germany. Since 2003, the Global Nature Fund has also an office in Bonn, and since 2011 in Berlin, Germany.

In early 2002, Pact Cambodia, under guidance from an Advocacy Advisory Committee (AAC) composed of representatives from nine Cambodian and international NGOs  initiated research into advocacy campaigns conducted in Cambodia from 1997 to 2001. This research highlighted the pressing need for Cambodian civil society to increase their advocacy skills and to create stronger relationships with Government. To respond to this need the Advocacy and Policy Program (APP) was established in July 2003.

Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF)

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) is designed to safeguard Earth’s biologically richest and most threatened regions, known as biodiversity hotspots. CEPF is a joint initiative of l’Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the European Union, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the World Bank, and in the Indo-Burma hotspot is also supported by the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation. A fundamental goal is to ensure civil society is engaged in biodiversity conservation.

Mercedes-Benz tops last year’s sales already in November
In the past eleven months, Mercedes-Benz has already sold more vehicles than in the entire year 2013. Since the beginning of the year, 1,486,839 vehicles were handed over to customers. In November the Stuttgart based brand posted another record with sales of 150,742 units.
